Bryce Harper does not seem happy with the way things are progressing in the MLB labor negotiations.
The Philadelphia Phillies star slugger posted a photoshopped picture of him wearing a Yomiuri Giants jersey and asking, “Aye, @yomiuri.giants you up? Got some time to kill.”

Then, in smaller print, he wrote, “I know you got @borascorp number. Let’s talk,” accompanied by fire emojis.
Harper’s post is very likely tongue-in-cheek and a sign of frustration of where things stood Monday afternoon as the MLB lockout continued with time running out to save regular season games.
It was reported earlier in the day that the owners told players they were willing to lose a whole month of the regular if a new collective bargaining agreement cannot be agreed upon.
MLB had set a self-imposed deadline of Monday night to reach a deal or regular-season games would be canceled.
Harper was not the only one with something to say on social media, either.
Yankees reliever Jameson Taillon ripped the owners for their “threats” and that they have no issue losing a month of games because it will not make much of a dent in their bottom line.
Meanwhile, amid news that Derek Jeter was relinquishing his ownership stake in the Marlins and stepping down as CEO, Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner took it as a sign that he became fed up with ownership’s complacency with losing and not willing to spend money on players — which is the crux of what the players have advocated for in negotiations.
It is clear that frustrations and emotions are beginning to reach a boiling point as the possibility of no baseball through April could indeed become a reality by the end of the night.
