DeCamara starting to lose confidence in Bryson Stott

Joe DeCamara is starting to lose confidence in Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott.

“His lack of development is, in my opinion, now getting concerning," DeCamara said on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show.

"This is a guy that should be able to hit .280 and up, learn how to walk, be a .360 on base percentage guy or higher…Instincts still good, the glove still good. The bat is just—I thought he was going to be someone to count on for seven or eight years and now I’m like, hmm.”

Stott, 27, is now in his fourth season with the Phillies. After slashing .245/.315/.356 last season, Stott is hitting similarly .249/.316/.354 this year.

Stott is just 1-11 in June after a 21-97 (.216) May.

In 33 postseason games, Stott is hitting just .188 with 30 strikeouts and 13 walks.
