The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Tuesday that 25-year-old goalie Carter Hart "has requested and been granted an indefinite leave of absence citing personal reasons."
The Flyers added, "The club will have no further comment at this time."

Hart 12-9-3 in this season, his sixth in the NHL. Hart is in the final-year of his three-year contract and is set to be a restricted free-agent this summer.
The Flyers have been one of the NHL's most pleasant surprises this season under new GM Danny Briere and president Keith Jones. Despite three straight losses, Philadelphia is currently 25-17-6, good for second in the Metropolitan division.
24-year-old Samuel Ersson will take over for Hart in net for the Flyers. Ersson is 12-7-3 in 21 starts this season with a 2.44 goals against average.
