Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report discussed his conversation with Eagles' All-Pro pass rusher Haason Reddick, who told Schultz that he did not request a trade.

"I think his mood was, 'I want to clear the air,' Schultz told Hugh Douglas and Joe Giglio on Wednesday's 94WIP Midday Show.

"I think it was really important to Haason that he let Eagles fans know, that he let Philly know, 'Listen this is home for me. I played here at Temple, I grew up here, I cherished my time being an Eagle, these last couple of years, especially. But I didn't request a trade.'

"On the other side, Philly has every right to do this. There is no bad blood. They did this last year with Darius Slay, they obviously brought him back. Haason was very clear when we spoke yesterday at length that, 'I understand this is a business, I have no ill will towards the Eagles.' And I think as a result, both sides are operations—OK, there is a possibility Haason is going to get traded, we certainly are going to give his agent Tory Dandy the opportunity to see what is out there and then we'll go from there."

Reddick, 29, had 16.0 regular season sacks and 3.5 playoff sacks in his first season an Eagle. Heading into the offseason, there was speculation that Reddick was unhappy and wanted a knew deal. Schultz says he never got that sense.

"I think outplayed his deal last year when he was All-Pro and he had the whatever 14-plus sacks and he was tremendous," Schultz said. "But I don't get the sense and I haven't gotten the sense, up until this point, that he was particularly frustrated in speaking with him throughout the season. I think he has such good relationships within the building and because the city and organization have meant so much to him, I never got that sense."

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported before the Super Bowl on Sunday that the Eagles have given Reddick permission to seek a trade. Reddick is entering the final year of his three-year, $45 million contract, which has no guaranteed money remaining.

Reddick is the first player in NFL history to record double-digit sacks with three different teams.
