This Joel Embiid quote following the Sixers' Game 7 loss has gone viral and has everyone losing their minds.
“Me and James, we can't win alone," Embiid said. "That's why basketball is played five on five.”
Embiid said that after him and Harden combined to shoot 8-29 from the field with nine turnovers. Their 24 combined points was the fewest in all 91 games they have played together.

So naturally, the internet picked up the quote and ran with it, freaking out at Embiid's lack of awareness. Even NBA star Damian Lillard (who has been rumored/discussed as a possible option for the Sixers to pair with Embiid) tweeted about it.
However, with full context, the Embiid quote isn't as bad because he is specifically asked about Harden and if he will try to convince him to stay in Philly.
Nevertheless, regardless of context, it was probably not the best time for Embiid to talk about him and Harden needing help from their teammates.
