The Nets couldn’t capitalize against a 76ers team playing without Joel Embiid, and were swept out of the first round on Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn.

The Nets kept it close, but fell 96-88 as Tobias Harris picked up the slack for Philly, and James Harden helped eliminate his former team from the postseason.

For Brooklyn, its recent postseason woes continued, as the team has now dropped 10 straight postseason games, dating back to the 2021 playoffs against the Bucks, when the Nets held a 3-2 series lead before dropping two straight in the conference semifinals.

Since then, the Nets have been swept by the Celtics and now the Sixers in consecutive years, and fell to Philadelphia in all eight games the two played against each other this season. Brooklyn isn’t unfamiliar to sweeps, as it has now been swept out of the playoffs three times in the last four years.

For the Sixers, it is their first time sweeping a best-of-seven playoff series since taking down the Bucks in 1985.
