Sirianni on Commanders' Hail Mary win: 'Went from upset to what can we learn'

Nick Sirianni admits he was "upset" when the Washington Commanders beat the Chicago Bears late Sunday afternoon on a miracle Hail Mary 52-yard touchdown pass from Jayden Daniels to Noah Brown, but immediately shifted his focus to learning from the moment.

"I try to control the things we can control, but hey we're human and you find yourself watching Sunday Night Football and rooting against the Cowboys," Sirianni said on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie. "You find yourself on the plane ride home checking in on the score. I had no control over it, we had no control over it, but we can take some things that happened in the game and learn from it...It went from, 'Damn it'...to 'OK, what can we use to get our team better?' That's something that I take a lot of pride in...and I know we've got the players thinking about it when they're texting me...It's a wide range of emotions of upset to OK, what can we learn from it."

The Eagles, who have won three straight following their bye week, are now 5-2 and 0.5 game back of the 6-2 Commanders in the NFC East.

Philadelphia and Washington will meet in Week 11 on Thursday Night Football at the Linc and then play the rematch in Week 16.
