Orthopedic Surgeon on Lane Johnson's ankle injury

Dr. Alfonso J. Arevalo, DO joined Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Tuesday to discuss the ankle injury suffered by Eagles' All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson in Monday night's win over the Packers.

"It looks to me he had some element of an ankle sprain...He does have history with that ankle having surgery back in 2020," he said.

Dr. Alfonso J. Arevalo, DO is an orthopedic surgeon at Delaware Orthopedic Specialist with locations in Newark Metro, North Wilmington, and Stanton, Delaware.

Dr. Arevalo specializes in sports medicine and minimally invasive arthroscopic treatment of the hip, knee and shoulder.

Dr. Arevalo is also the team physician for Mount Pleasant High School, Dickenson High School and the Delaware Blue Rocks.

Dr. Arevalo was born in Greenburg, Pa. He attended Boston University and captained the schools club ice hockey team.

Dr. Arevalo pursued a fellowship in orthopedics sports medicine at University of Buffalo and while there he gained experience working with a variety of athletes and teams, including the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Rochester Americans and Hilbert College.

Dr. Arevalo still enjoys playing ice hockey and golf in his spare time.
