Ray Didinger on where Jason Kelce ranks among all-time Eagles

The Godfather, Ray Didinger, is not ranking Jason Kelce as the greatest Philadelphia Eagles' player of all-time.

"As an overall player, I would still put Bednarik as number one," Didinger told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show.

"I've said all along I felt there were three players in the history of the franchise that stood above all others:

1. Chuck Bednarik
2. Steve Van Buren
3. Reggie White

"The three of them were on the top of the mountain," he continued. "If you wanted to pick anyone of those guys, one over the other, I won't argue with you. I think they all are warranting that and I would still say the same. As far as that next group of guys, where you have Brian Dawkins in that group, I would certainly put Kelce in there."

Didinger did say he has Kelce is the Eagles' greatest center ever.

On Tuesday's 94WIP Midday Show, Joe Giglio made the case for why Kelce is the greatest Eagle ever.

"He spanned four coaches," Giglio said. "He connects all of the dots in Eagles history. He played for Andy Reid. He won a Super Bowl. He went to a second Super Bowl. It's almost like he was the man in the background that eventually we realized was at the forefront of all of it."
