As America’s largest city, New York produces a fair amount of waste. Sanitation workers are a dime a dozen in the Big Apple, not all of them can do this.
The New York garbage man has already become a viral sensation, drawing flattering comparisons to Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry.
Who knows if Sanitation Steph’s skill would translate to the hardwood, but that doesn’t make his prolific trash-heaving any less impressive. Blake Griffin famously cleared a Kia en route to winning the Dunk Contest at NBA All-Star Weekend, but launching Glad bags over a parked car in Koreatown might actually be more impressive.

Imagine if all trash collectors had this much swag, letting it fly like Damian Lillard pulling up from the logo or Curry going nuclear during one of his patented heat checks. Of course, because social media will always be a playground for the cruel, many used the clip as an excuse to bash Ben Simmons, who has as many three-pointers for his career (five) as James Harden had in his Sixers debut Friday night.
There are plenty of great garbage men in the world, but only one Sanitation Steph.
