Many are calling it, not just the greatest MLS Cup ever, but the greatest MLS game ever.

The Philadelphia Union defeated LAFC in penalty kicks after both teams finished extra time tied 3-3.

The Union tied the game at 1 in the 57th minute and then tied it again at 2 in the 85th minute.

After a huge collision, where the LAFC goal keeper was carted off the field and received a red card, the Union took a 3-2 lead.

But then Gareth Bale tied it in dramatic fashion for LA, just before the end of the second extra time half.

The Union failed to score any goals in penalty kicks.

After the game the FOX announcers called it the greatest MLS game ever and the best day in the history of the MLS, which debuted in 1996.
