Burger King Reignites Burger Wars After Attempting to Troll Wendy's

The burger wars continue on social media!

Burger King and Wendy’s are at it again, exchanging snarky tweets that entertain the masses that follow the fast-food chains on social media.

Though Burger King may try to wear the crown, Wendy’s is the King of social media burns and remains ready to provide scorching roasts of their competition at any moment of the day.

Unfortunately, Burger King found out the hard way this week when it provoked the account by posting a photo of its mascot in front of a Wendy’s location with a cardboard sign making fun of their square-shaped patties.

“Roses are red, violets are blue, patties are round,” the Burger King’s sign read.

Wendy’s hit back with this savage response: “Looked who dropped by to see what Spicy Nuggets were supposed to taste like.”

BK came prepared for Wendy's to fire back -- they always do -- as they posted another photo with a sign that read: “Don't burn people just because you can't flame-grill."

At this point, Wendy’s was fired-up and delivered this brutal and iconic line: "Honestly expected better, but you’re probably pretty used to hearing that."

Total knock out.

Wendy’s then continued their trolling spree by lingering in the comments section and replying to fan’s who were getting in on the fun:

Wendy’s - 1 Burger King - 0

Wendy’s, whose tagline reads, “we like our tweets the same way we like to make our hamburgers: better than anyone expects from a fast food joint,” remains the undefeated champ of burgers, social media, and life.

And in case you were wondering why Wendy’s patties are square-shaped, Thrillist reports that it allows customers to see the quality of their meat and that they “don’t cut corners.”

Earlier in the week, Burger King made headlines for offering the royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a part-time job following their announcement that they are taking a step back from senior royal duties.
