Home security systems have become more popular than ever before, as advancements in technology make it easier for people to watch over their home when away.
While it gives people a sense of comfort when they aren’t home, it seems most people are only using their in-home cameras to see what their pets do all day.

For one dog owner, that meant using their Ring Doorbell camera to talk to their dog while away, and her pet’s hilarious reaction has now gone viral, Fox News reports.
In the video that has been viewed over 42,000 times, a black Labrador Retriever can be seen playing in his yard when he notices his owner’s voice coming from the front door. Of course, her voice is actually coming from the Ring video doorbell, causing the dog, named Finn, to be confused as he searches for its owner.
“Emily’s pup Finn loves to be outside in the sunshine. But when she checks in on him using Two-Way Talk, the 10-month-old lab is left wondering how the heck his mom got trapped inside the doorbell,” Ring captioned the viral video.
In the video, the adorable pup tilts his head with confusion and gives viewers a sweet up-close-and-personal view of his snout while he sniffs out the situation.
Many online shared their own stories of confusing their pets using their home security system, but sometimes an animal being spotted on a video security system has an entirely different outcome.
Earlier this month, an Amazon driver was hailed as a hero after killing a spider for a scared customer. Using the “special instructions” box on her Amazon order, the customer, who shared her experience on TikTok, asked her delivery driver to take care of a "huge" spider on her front porch.
The customer left a note on her porch the following day for the driver. "Hello Amazon! Thank you for killing the spider yesterday!" the note read. "You are actually Tik Tok famous now."
