‘It Looked Like a Chicken Breast’: Man Finds Brain on Beach

A construction worker in Wisconsin found an interesting package during a stroll on the beach.

And based on reactions of authorities that he showed it to, you don’t have to be a brainiac to figure out what it is.

“Yeah, that’s a brain,” Jimmy Senda says city officials told him when he showed them what appeared to be a brain that he happened upon.

It was found during a walk Senda took in Samuel Myers Park in Racine on Tuesday, FOX 6 Milwaukee reports.

He initially paused when he found the strange package.

"I don't really know how to explain it, it didn't register...I was just like, 'What is this?'" said Senda. "I came across this square package, wrapped in aluminum foil, and around it, it had a pink rubber band.

Unable to resist, he took a closer peek. For better or worse.

"Curiosity got to me, so I popped it open and it looked like a chicken breast -- kind of. It took a little bit for it to really (register) of what was going on; it was a brain."

In the startling package were also flowers and what appears to be paper with Mandarin characters printed on it.

Senda takes a walk along the shore every morning in search of found objects he can incorporate into his art.

"Collecting sea glass and random stuff -- because I like to do artwork at home with the stuff that I find," he told the outlet.

After showing park officials the brain, he showed it to police.

“Yeah, it looks like a brain,” he says they also told him.

Senda was relieved he found it, as opposed to someone for whom it may have been more traumatic.

"There's a lot of kids and families that are down here, and what happens if a kid would have found it?" said Senda.

The Racine County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that the brain was not human, the outlet reported on Friday. However, it is still unknown what type of animal it belonged to.
