KFC introduces clean-shaven Colonel Sanders to kick off 'Movember'

Colonel Sanders has a brand new (and unrecognizable) look!

KFC introduced a clean-shaven Colonel Sanders to commemorate the beginning of "Movember," an annual event involving the growing of mustaches during the month of November to raise awareness for men's health.

KFC France debuted the campaign at the kickstart of the month along with the logo of the fried chicken chain mascot without a 'stach. The promotion hopes to encourage customers to support charities of their choice, per FOX News.

"Movember rules: Start on day one with a clean shave, let your mustache grow for a whole month," the chain advised fast-food fans in the promo.

Colonel Sanders wasn't alone in the movement. The Pringles mascot also "shaved" his signature mustache in honor of Movember.

Movember has been around since the early 2000s.

It was started to help bring awareness to men's health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, suicide prevention, and overall mental health.
