How to prevent overeating on Thanksgiving

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Thanksgiving dinner with the family is a highlight for many, but what are the best ways to avoid eating too much?

Showing a bit of self-control is important at the big meal, and steps taken during the day will help you do it.

First, eat a good breakfast. Don’t hold off so you can eat more at dinner.

Keep drinking plenty of fluids during the day too, and limit eating seconds.

This year, there is a great deal to celebrate, but try to show a bit of discipline at the gathering. It can be done, and you will feel better for it.
