Usually bad weather is enough to ruin any special occasion, especially a marriage proposal.

However, if two partners track weather by trade, a massive storm is exactly what they look for when taking the next step in their relationship.

A couple went viral recently after sharing photos of their engagement in front of an active tornado.

Meteorologist Tom Bedard recently came up with the perfect plan to propose to his fellow meteorologist girlfriend, Raya Maday.

According to Bedard, the couple had never witnessed a tornado together, and thought the storm would be the perfect backdrop for their special moment.

“I had known that this was the year I had wanted to propose and was just trying to find the right scenario for it,” said Bedard.

Luckily for Bedard, he had the help of a professional storm forecaster friend, who helped him spot a storm brewing.

According to Fox News, the Kansas couple drove six hours away to Colorado to find the storm for the proposal.

Thankfully, she said yes and with a tornado happening at the start of their engagement, things can only get better from here.
