The FAA confirmed reports of one pilot communicating with air traffic control about a man in the sky using a jetpack on Wednesday.

"A Boeing 747 pilot reported seeing an object that might have resembled a jetpack 15 miles east of LAX at 5,000 feet altitude. Out of an abundance of caution, air traffic controllers alerted other pilots in the vicinity," a FAA representative told KABC-TV.

The FAA says that nothing unusual showed up on radar during the time the sightings took place.

The last time jetpack man was spotted in the area was late last year. Authorities believe it may just be a drone designed to look like a man.
