One of the most popular current cartoon series for preschoolers, "Peppa Pig," is getting its own family-focused amusement park.
The park will sit right next to Legoland Florida, and as Clickorlando.com says, will feature multiple rides, interactive attractions, and themed playscapes.
It will be fun to see how they translate the humble, playful energy of Nickelodeon's delightful British swine brood to an action-packed playland.
But Peppa Pig Project Director Keith Carr clarifies that, “what you’re going to get is a full day of fun for all ages and demographics, but really this is for our youngest ‘piggies.’ So that 2 to 6-year-old is really our wheelhouse to come and experience everything. All the rides were designed with that in mind. They can play, ride and do everything we have to offer.”
Attractions will include Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure, Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride, Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride, and the kiddie coaster Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster.
And there’s more! In case the kiddies need to take a break, there’s a movie theater to watch "Peppa Pig" shows. Also, there will be free fair games and even a “muddy puddle” splash pad, complete with slides and water surprises.
And what theme park would be complete without familiar characters walking around waving hello and posing for selfies? So the kids will get to meet life-sized Peppa and friends as they stroll through the grounds.
You can thank Merlin Entertainment, which runs Legoland parks, for this new little wonderland. They’ve entered an exclusive multi-territory agreement with Hasbro, which owns Peppa Pig.
The park won’t open until February 24, 2022, but tickets are on sale now.
