Police and fire departments in San Francisco, CA, sprang into action one night last week to assist a woman giving birth in a parked car.

But the extra surprise was that the city officials would teamed up to eventually deliver twins in the backseat of the car.

The Police Department responded to a call for help from a motorist. The mother was in labor trying to get herself to the nearest hospital, but the babies came too quickly.

Officials used their training and skills to assist and comfort the family as the first newborn arrived. Minutes later, as the Fire Department arrived at the scene, the second baby was delivered.

Both babies and the mother were taken to a local hospital. The Fire Department reported that all three are healthy and will be okay.
