Target to launch mini Apple stores inside select locations

I’m in the Target. I’m in the Apple store. I’m in the combination Target and Apple store.

Target shoppers have long been able to make a detour at a mini Pizza Hut or Starbucks while shopping at the retail giant, and soon they’ll also be able to stop by a mini Apple store.

On Thursday, the big box store revealed that it plans to expand its Apple offerings and open mini Apple stores in select locations this month, as well as have an online rollout on the Target website.

17 Target stores across the country will soon have “dedicated Apple shopping destinations” with additional locations getting mini Apple stores throughout the year.

In a press release, Target shared that the new spaces will have Apple products and accessories on display so that customers can “experience new products through demonstrations” of the extended “assortment of Apple products” by “Target Tech Consultants,” who will be trained by Apple.

The in-store spaces will feature new lighting fixtures and displays for a variety of Apple products including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, and Apple TV.

The following Target locations will open their mini Apple stores this month:

This new model was created with Target’s guests in mind, and we’ll continue to learn and enhance the experience through future rollouts later this year.”
