Walt Disney World is gearing up to reduce their theme park operation hours when September 8 rolls around.
While the parks have just recently reopened following coronavirus pandemic closures, they are now looking towards shortened hours for the fall months, scaling back in September and keeping it that way until October, Deadline reports.
Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studio, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT are all set to scale back their hours with the first three closing an hour earlier than normal and EPCOT closing two hours earlier.
The updated hours are as follows:
• Disney's Animal Kingdom: 8 am to 5 pm
• Disney's Hollywood Studios: 10 am to 7 pm
• Magic Kingdom: 9 am to 6 pm
• EPCOT: 11 am to 7 pm
Since reopening in July after being closed since March, Disney World has been operating at limited capacity with new rules in place to ensure the health and safety of visitors amidst the pandemic.
Visitors are required to wear masks, and social distancing guidelines have been posted throughout the park.
The parks have furthered their mask requirements by indicating that guests must remain stationary while eating or drinking in order to cut back on people walking around without their masks on.
Disney has reported a $3.5 billion hit to its theme parks since closing the parks down in March.
