On April 25, a shocking incident happened when a car burst into flames along a highway in Southlake, Texas.
Stephen Daniel Patiño captured the frightening explosion on camera when traveling in the passenger’s seat of a car. The car that he was in was going the opposite direction on Highway 114, Storyful reports.
While capturing the footage, Patiño initially thought that the smoke was coming from a grass fire. Moments later, he was surprised to see an explosion on the highway.
“It felt like watching something out of an action movie,” he said. “I could feel the heat of the blast, but it was very brief – like walking past a fireplace,” he added.
NBC in Dallas, Texas reported that Southlake firefighters responded to the fire and were able to get the flames under control.
In a tweet posted by the Southlake Department of Public Safety, officials confirmed no injuries were reported after the explosion.
The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
