
Highland Springs, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police say a mail truck driver has life-threatening injuries, and four juveniles have minor injuries, in a chaotic situation that grew out of fights during a Highland Springs High School pep rally Friday afternoon. The school resource officer also had to use pepper spray, according to Henrico Police.
Police say the fights originated at the school, and then spread to a nearby shopping center. In that shopping center, there was also an accident involving an SUV and a mail truck. Police say the SUV sped through the parking lot and hit the mail truck, overturning it and ejecting the driver. Two juveniles in the SUV also suffered minor injuries as well (the other two juveniles were injured as part of the initial fight.
Police continue their investigation.
