Germs are everywhere ... including your phone. Now more than ever it's super important to make sure you do everything possible to disinfect your items regularly.
Apple has actually changed the cleaning instruction section of its website to clarify that you can use disinfectant wipes on their products without destroying them.
"Using a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display, keyboard, or other exterior surfaces."
They also caution against using bleach and caution you not to get any moisture in any opening of your iPhone or other products. Previously, Apple only advised using water for cleaning since some substances can damage the coating applied to keep the touchscreens free of fingerprints. Also, please wash your hands after disinfecting your device.
