Following up his previous chart-topping tracks "Fix a Drink," "Good Vibes," and "Buy Me a Boat" country singer Chris Janson is now celebrating a Billboard number 1 with his latest track, "Done."
The inspiration for the song, Chris' feeling of love-at-first-sight when meeting wife Kelly Lynn, shines through in lyrics like, "All the hell I was raising, done / All the careless heartbreaking, done." The pair were wed in 2010 and are now raising four children; two of their own, in addition to two more "bonus kids," as Chris has put it, from Kelly's previous marriage.

Following Chris on his social channels, you'll notice he's got a full beard going, which he's proud of after taking 34 years to actually grow in properly, as well as his knack for songwriting over Zoom calls in his "man room." Chris says he enjoys working that way and he's not sure if changing up that dynamic is in the cards. "I love it. I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't know that I'll ever get back in a room and actually write songs like I used to," he admits, "because I think everybody is a bit more attentive."
Janson is absolutely grateful for the success of "Done," especially because of the meaning behind the emotional track. "It's a great honor and a great blessing... To me, that's the greatest attribute to the song, and it becoming a number one hit. It means so much more than just having the number one song. There's a lot more to it."
We've enjoyed Chris' company in the big city before and he's also missing it just like we all are. "I am not just saying this, it is my favorite place to go, If I'm not at home it is my favorite place to go... I get a 'ultra joy' out of coming to NYC. It's a treat!"
We miss you Chris; see you soon buddy!
