We have Santa, the tooth fairy, and now wine fairies! Yes, just what we need during a pandemic, wine delivery.
The wine fairies call their work "dustings". They go all around town making surprise deliveries as a way to spread some joy during the pandemic. It started out with wine and has now evolved into deliveries of all kinds.
Connie Bayer from Miller Place started the Wine/Treat/Surprise Fairies of Long Island Facebook Page just a few weeks ago and they already have close to 10,000 members. Some fairies go all out and dress up in costume as they make their deliveries. Some ring the bell and dash while others wait to make the surprise delivery face to face.
