A canceled marathon didn't stop a Chicago nun from raising money. Sister Stephanie Baliga from Chicago raised over $100,000 for her church's food bank by running a full marathon on a treadmill.

She finished in just 3 hours and 33 minutes. Stephanie has run the Chicago Marathon every year since 2011. Her time was so good, she is planning to submit her run to the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest women’s treadmill marathon.

The treadmill run was streamed on Zoom so the community could watch and be part of the excitement. Former Olympic runner Deena Kastor was the Zoom commentator and called the event as if it were happening on the streets of Chicago.
