This is how New York says, "Thank you."
The city came alive Friday night in an amazing show of support for those on the front lines of the coronavirus battle. New Yorkers all across the city took to their windows, balconies, and rooftops to show their appreciation for all of the doctors, nurses, first responders, and other essential workers.
Residents cheered, clapped, whistled, and banged pots and pans to express their gratitude. From Long Island City to the Upper East Side, here's what it looked like and sounded like all across the city.
