Russell Dickerson served as the surprise wedding singer when NBC's Today show hosted a Zoom wedding yesterday (Thursday, April 23rd). Hoda Kotb served as the officiant for the bride and groom Melanie and John, whose wedding had to be postponed due to coronavirus. The bride's first choice for their wedding dance song was Russell's hit "Yours," which he performed from his own home.
The wedding was done as part of Today's #WithYouTODAY series focuses on celebrating people who are managing the crisis around the country in different ways and bringing a bit of joy to their days.
