Sometimes young people can teach us a lot and set the best example.
16-year-old Stefan Perez helped keep the protests in Detroit peaceful and prevented people from rioting. He took to the streets with a megaphone, dropped to his knees, and begged people to follow the 8:00 PM curfew. His efforts paid off because people listened to him.
Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan took notice of Stefan's great work and called him to say thanks during a TV interview. The Mayor said watching Perez on TV brought tears to his eyes.
