NEW YORK -- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited One World Observatory on Thursday morning to kick off their trip to New York City.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted at the observatory atop One World Trade Center shortly after 8:30 a.m.
The couple was joined by Gov. Kathy Hochul and Mayor Bill de Blasio, as well as de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, and their son, Dante de Blasio.

The royals did not make remarks. In answer to a question about how she was enjoying her trip to New York, Meghan could be heard saying, “It's wonderful.”

Harry and Meghan are in New York for a Global Citizen Live event to call for vaccine equity.
The couple will attend Global Citizen Live at Central Park on Saturday “to continue their urgent work with world leaders in the pursuit of global vaccine equity to end the COVID-19 pandemic for everyone, everywhere.”
Their son Archie, 2, and daughter Lilibet, 3 months, are not along for the trip, according to Page Six.
