NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New Yorkers and tourists will soon be able to ride a giant Ferris wheel at the Crossroads of the World.
Concert producer AMPM Entertainment Concepts is temporarily installing an 11-story amusement ride in Times Square, on Broadway between West 47th and West 48th streets, CEO Vito Bruno told 1010 WINS.
The Ferris wheel will be up and running by Tuesday, Bruno said. It is set to offer rides until Sept. 14.
"You get to see New York’s Times Square as never seen before," he said. "You get the greatest experience, on the greatest street, in the greatest city in the world. It’s going to be unbelievable."
A ride will cost between $15 and $35. Visitors will be able to purchase tickets and reserve a time slot online or buy them at an on-site booth.
“This is a great way to bring people back to Times Square, back to Broadway, back to the restaurants, back to the great hotels we have there,” Bruno said. “It’s going to bring people back and showcase New York as it is: the greatest city in the world.”
