After moving to Nashville as a young teenager to start his journey toward a music career, Dylan Schneider has made his long-awaited debut on Country radio with his single, “Ain’t Missin’ You.”

“I’ve been looking forward to this day and this experience for so long,” 23-year-old Schneider told Audacy’s Sabrina of his first song to hit the airwaves. “I first teased the song like a year-and-a-half ago on social media and have been working so, so hard to get it to where we can say, ‘Hey, we’re going to push it to radio.’ So many people have got on board, so many people are excited about it. It’s been a fun experience so far.”

Recently being the second most-added song on Country radio, it’s clear the song has struck a chord with its fresh storyline and relatability.

“It wasn’t really specifically written from my point of view or a personal story. It’s just something I had thought about, and obviously, it’s kind of been the shoulder to cry on and help people through break-ups, get through hard times,” he shared of the song.

“It’s a different twist, and something I haven’t really heard done yet.”

The fresh approach could very well lead the song to be Dylan’s first hit as an artist — one of his major goals for the coming years.

“I definitely want a couple of hit songs as an artist,” he said of his career goals by the time he reaches 30. “Couple of top 10, couple of number 1’s — whatever we can get — that’s something I’m striving for. Even as a songwriter, that’s something I’m striving for as well.”

Schneider promises “Ain’t Missin’ You” is just the beginning of what’s to come as he teases a song he’s currently finishing up in the studio he’s calling “the most personal song” he’s ever written.

“Now, I’m definitely more comfortable writing more personal stuff,” he shared. “I’m actually finishing a song up in the studio right now that’s actually probably the most personal song I’ve ever written and will be probably the most personal song I’ll probably ever release… It’s about some stuff that’s been tough to address lately — over the past few years of my life and finally, I’m going to get to say it.”

He continued, “I feel like now that I’ve grown up and had so much more experience — just life experience in general — I have a lot more to say.”
