“I am out of my mind, I feel like I am just floating on a cloud,” she told Audacy’s Katie Neal of receiving the award. “I’m so happy. The category was just stacked [with] so many amazing females so I’ve got goosebumps.”

The win is the perfect start to a dream-come-true summer for the 33-year-old who is headed to play shows with Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, and Shania Twain.

“We’re going on tour with Shania [Twain] in a week,” she said with excitement. “I’m definitely going to be really extra for the Shania Tour. I’ve got a few outfits that I’m working on with a stylist and they’re pretty over the top. But if any tour you’re going to do it — it’s gotta be a Shania Twain Tour, right?”

The fun is just beginning for Whitters who is currently celebrating her single, “Everything She Ain’t” being in the top 25 on Country radio.

“Just to soak it up and be present for all of it because it’s going to go by so fast,” she said of her focus as her career continues to skyrocket. “So many cool moments that I’ve dreamt about my whole life is happening in a year.”

Catch Hailey at tonight’s 58th Annual ACM Awards taking place live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX. The show can be streamed via Amazon’s Prime video beginning at 7PM EDT / 6PM CDT / 4PM PDT.
