WEATHER: Heat, humidity grip NYC; scattered thunderstorms possible

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The five boroughs are set to see more heat and humidity over the next few days, with scattered thunderstorms possible.

Wednesday will be very warm and humid, with a high of 88 degrees and RealFeels in the upper 90s, according to AccuWeather.

A thunderstorm in the afternoon or evening could bring a flooding downpour, as well as strong wind gusts. Wednesday night is expected to be partly cloudy and sticky, with a low of 74 degrees.

The sun will mix with clouds on Thursday, with a high of 89 degrees, Real Feels in the upper 90s again and an afternoon thunderstorm possible.

Friday is expected to be hot and humid again, with some sunshine and a thunderstorm in spots later in the day.

The day will likely see a high of 90 degrees, but RealFeels will be closer to 100.

The high heat and scattered thunderstorms will continue over the weekend as well, according to AccuWeather.
