While onstage at Stagecoach California’s Country Music Festival last night, Jon Pardi was surprised with the ask of a lifetime as Guy Fieri joined him on stage and Alan Jackson appeared on the big screen with a video message extending a formal invite for Pardi to become the next Opry member.

As the crowd roared, Opry Senior Marketing Manager, Dan Rogers, brought Pardi a Grand Ole Opry microphone stand to finish his set with and shared a few words with the CA native and his hometown crowd.

“He debuted on the Opry stage almost two years ago and we love it every time he comes and does a show,” said Rogers. “There’s a lot of history in this mic stand, there’s a great future in this mic stand and tonight is historic because Jon — not only are you the first person to be invited to become an Opry member here at Stagecoach — this guy is the first native Californian to ever be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.”

The ask comes amidst an already eventful year for the 37-year-old who welcomed his first child, Presley Fawn, in February.

Jon shared the plane ride to Stagecoach was Presley’s first plane ride and according to Pardi, she’s ready to tour with the best of ‘em.

“She had her first flight here,” he shared. “She didn’t cry, she was great. If she even fussed a little bit we just gave her a bottle, babies love bottles.”
