Chatting it up with Audacy and 103.7 KSON’s John & Tammy backstage at Stagecoach, the “smokin’ hot” Lainey Wilson talked about how drastically different her life is from when they first chatted less than three years ago, and that includes her first acting gig on Yellowstone.

LISTEN NOW: Lainey Wilson says "no tongue" For 'Yellowstone' kissing scenes

From hopping on to zoom for a Live with John & Tammy Happy Hour during the pandemic all the way to now, Lainey’s life has drastically changed, but through it all she’s continued to keep it real and remain the same. “I feel like I have a lot of people in my life daily who remind me who I am, who I was, where I started. People of course who wanna see me get better and grow and accomplish things, but they keep me humble,” Lainey said.

That being said, one way Lainey is happily different — she is now an actress, scoring her first acting gig on the major hit Yellowstone.

And while Lainey does note that acting and singing are quite similar, one thing singers don’t have to do are kissing scenes. Part of the latest addition to her resume that Lainey finds a bit intimidating and hard to get used to — so she had to lay some ground rules.

“It was terrifying… but I had to lay down the law. I was like don’t put your tongue in my mouth, don’t do this, don’t do that. I mean there were 500 people watching, there was like cast, the crew, the extras, you had to make sure that your face was turned a certain way to the camera," Lainey revealed. Continuing to shed light on all the technical aspects of filming the scene, before comparing memorizing her lines to “remembering a song that you didn’t write.”
