It’s been a busy month for Lambert, who celebrated the release of her 10th studio album, Postcards from Texas on September 13. The title is a nod to the three-time GRAMMY winner’s home state, which played a large part in the inspiration behind each of the project’s 14 tracks. It’s also where Lambert recorded the entire album - something she hasn’t done since she was 18 as Nashville had become her standard, until she recently signed a deal with Republic Records.
Following the release of her album, Lambert was in attendance at the People’s Choice Country Awards just a few weeks later to receiving the highest honor of the night, the People’s Choice Country Icon Award.
“The fact that I get this award tonight is just blowing my mind. It’s a lot of years, tears, beers, Tito’s if I’m being’ honest,” Miranda laughed after being handed her award by fellow Texan, Parker McCollum. “I feel like I’ve been able to make so many great memories in my life and my career because of fans. Y’all allowed me to keep creating all these years… Thank you so much to the most loyal fans in the world.”
While September was a month of celebration for Lambert, she also took time to help out those in need following the devastating damage of hurricane Helene. Recently, Lambert revealed a $100,000 donation in support of efforts to help animals impacted by Hurricane Helene. Lambert’s donation was made on behalf of her MuttNation Foundation and will directly aid pet shelters and other animals that have been impacted by the hurricane in parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
