Lambert’s donation was made on behalf of her MuttNation Foundation and will directly aid pet shelters and other animals that have been impacted by the hurricane in parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
“My heart breaks for the people and pets impacted by Hurricane Helene,” Lambert wrote alongside an Instagram video showing the sheer devastation. “In situations like this, a lot of people ask me how they can help.”
Lambert went on to share MuttNation has already provided $100,000 to help though the MuttNation and Tractor Supply Relief for Rescues Fund and encouraged anyone willing and able to donate to contribute what they can.
“It’s a very dire situation because many of the shelters that got hit were already struggling with overcrowding,” she concluded. “As we’ve been in contact with the shelters, we’re also hearing really heroic stories. People are risking their lives to help. It’s that type of courage that gives me hope that we’ll all get through this.”
Miranda joins Country artist Morgan Wallen who also donated publicly this week to hurricane relief efforts. Additionally, a handful of others have shared they are working with their teams to figure out the best way to help. Those artists include Lainey Wilson and North Carolina natives Eric Church and Luke Combs.
