TRENTON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- New Jersey employers will no longer be required to let their employees work remotely next month, Gov. Phil Murphy said Wednesday.
The state will rescind its rule requiring employers to accommodate remote work and reduce the number of employees on site to the bare minimum starting Friday, June 4, Murphy said at a news briefing.
The state will also start allowing employers to let vaccinated employees stop wearing masks and social distancing that day, he said.
Rescinding those requirements will give “additional guidance and flexibility to employers — especially those in office settings — as they look to their own continued return to normal operating practices,” Murphy said.
The governor on Wednesday also said the state would completely lift its cap on child care class attendance.
“This is an important piece of getting our economy back working for more parents,” he said.
