NYers over 50 eligible for COVID vaccine starting Tuesday: Cuomo

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo on Monday announced that New Yorkers over 50 years old are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine starting on Tuesday.

Cuomo was joined by religious leaders of many different denominations at his press conference where he launched the "Roll up your sleeve" campaign that aims to encourage people to get vaccinated.

He asked the faith-based community to offer the vaccine at their places of worship and partner with a provider to help people get past vaccine hesitancy.
