NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The Tribeca Festival 2022 in New York City announced on Tuesday its star-studded lineup of feature films, short narratives, documentaries and animated films as the annual festival gears up for its June 8 kickoff.

This year's festival, of which 1010 WINS is a media partner, will feature 110 feature films and 88 world premieres from 150 filmmakers from 40 countries, including "Corner Office," a satire starring John Hamm and Danny Pudi, and "Somewhere in Queens," directed by Ray Romano and starring Laurie Metcalf, Tony Lo Bianco, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Jennifer Esposito. "Beauty," a Netflix original film written by Lena Waithe, will have its world premiere at Tribeca.
The world premiere of "Loudmouth," a documentary about preacher and activist Rev. Al Sharpton's "faith-powered activism of amplifying the ugly truths about the ongoing impact of structural racism on this nation [that] many would prefer to ignore," is set as the closing night film on June 18.
Other documentaries will focus on JLo, Lil Baby, LeVar Burton, John McEnroe, the WNBA's New York Liberty and more, with a number of stars taking part in panel discussions and live performances.
The shorts program, in partnership with Meta, includes 43 Academy Award-qualified short films in competition from 25 countries worldwide.
"This 2022 feature film program leaves us proud and humbled by the boundless ingenuity and passion of our indefatigable filmmaking community," said festival director and vice president of programming Cara Cusumano. "Whether a comedic breath of fresh air or a trenchant expose of the most urgent contemporary issues, this year’s official selections again remind us of the vitality and urgency of independent film in a world that needs it more than ever."
U.S. audiences can also exclusively view a variety of films and documentaries at home from June 9-June 26. For more information on this year's festival, click here.
