There's been nowhere on earth where you can get a vegan funnel cake... Until Angela Simmons came along and fostered Angela's Cakes, her new line of vegan funnel cake mix.
Stopping by V-103 Atlanta's Big Tigger Morning Show, she shared her thought process behind the vegan funnel cake and her partnership with Sugar Factory.
Having been a vegan herself for years and sitting down with Pinky Cole, owner of Slutty Vegan, she came across the fact there is nowhere you can purchase a vegan funnel cake from. She even jokingly asked Tigger and Shamea "there is no vegan funnel cake. where? tell me where you can get a vegan funnel cake?"
Whether you're vegan or not, Angela insists that this funnel cake is better than the original. "I've had a lot of people who are not vegan try it," she said "it's really good and I'm not just saying it cause it's mine, I want you to go try it yourself."
In a partnership with Sugar Factory, Angela's Cakes will be featured on the menu at several Sugar Factory locations. Outside of the Sugar Factory, people seeking a vegan funnel cake can head over to eatangelascakes.com.
Check out the entire interview above where Angela talks about the love she found in rapper Yo Gotti, and how we can maybe be expecting some little Angelas and Yo Gottis coming in the near future.
