Brooke Dedrick, Vector-borne Disease Prevention Supervisor for St Louis County says tires are 'prime' environments for breeding mosquitos, and not just in the spring and summer. 'Tires retain heat for long periods of time,' and water says Dedrick. Mice & rats also like the tires, they are 'prime micro environments,' for rodents. Tire collection event set for Monday, November 9, 7am-1pm 4100 Seven Hills Drive in Florissant, MO.
