Hundreds of animal shelters across the country today are holding 'Clear the Shelters' events.
Officials in Santa Cruz county are hoping the public can help them determine the best places where wildlife can safely cross a road.
With two All Star Games bound for the Bay Area over the next two years, the work continues in attracting more big sporting events to the region.
