House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to answer questions and reserved judgment during a press briefing regarding the fatal Immigration and Customs Enforcement shooting of a man in Maine. When pressed by reporters on whether Congress should demand accountability from the Department of Homeland Security over the agents' lack of body cameras, Johnson stated, "I don't know anything about this event, OK? I was a little busy yesterday so I'm going to reserve judgment". He explained that he had worked 22 hours over the last few days and had not yet received a briefing on the matter.
