This year there are a record eight Black candidates running for governor in their respective states. Lambers and Sheletta talk about the history of Black representations in politics, the progress actively in the making and the current challenges candidates are facing in today’s political climate. In their second segment Sheletta asks why it's taken so long for Minnesota to elect a woman as governor and gender equity.
