Lauren Edson from the Science Museum of Minnesota joins the Sheletta Show to talk about ongoing Celebrations Day focused on recognizing the diversity and contributions of the Latinx American community. Lauren provides a floor by floor breakdown on what one can expect to see when they walk through the doors at the museum during this event. Families can come and learn about science careers and take part in hands-on activities with Telemundo, Free Geek Twin Cities, HACER, North High School LatinX Club, General Mills, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Sheletta asks about the museum’s intentionality around the Latinx STEM Day and other Celebrations Days (Black Americans in STEM, Women and Girls in STEM, Latinos in STEM, LGBTQ+ People in STEM, and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in STEM).
