Our friend Nathan Janicek from Hennepin County Voter Engagement returns to the show to break down the historic voter turnout we saw in Hennepin County for the midterm elections this year. Sheletta speaks to the number of people she saw voting on Tuesday despite atrocious weather. She asks about the messaging they’ve used at Hennepin County that gets people up and headed to polls. They also discuss the impact of the 2023 law that restored the voting eligibility to people who have been previously convicted with a felony that are out of prison. Sheletta asks Nathan how we can keep the momentum going. We thank Nathan and his colleagues for their service to our community!
